I was looking for ideas and products to help solve some of my garage organizing problems. Then I stumbled on a website http://www.1stchoicegarage.com and was happy to see they have lots of solutions for your garage. Car lifts, overhead storage, wall organizing products, and the list goes on, and on. I recommend you take a look at this site, and see how they can help you.
Great tips! I didn't know about being able to drag and drop emails into the calendar. And I don't utilize the tasks so I have an inbox full of flagged emails. No more! I'm going to set them all up as tasks today - thanks again!

I also clip travel ideas from newspaper and magazines and place them in a folder, so that I have some ideas of hotels and places to go when I can take a holiday.

I go a little bit further, I organize clothes by color. It is easier.

This is "Stephanie" and I just can't get over the transformation in my sewing room, and how much more productive I am in the space now that it's organized.

When I need a tool, I know exactly where to find it. When I'm done using it, it has a home to go back to.

I don't trip over things on the floor or loose important things I need for my work.

Thank you Laura! I'm hoping that it will be just as successful in my home office as it was in the sewing room.

Interested people can monitor my progress at http://www.squidoo.com/eliminate-chaos-the-office

Thanks again Laura!!!

I think you should blog more! It doesn't always have to be tips, it can be stories from your work or great ideas that your clients have shared with you!

Another way to keep pan lids organized is to have a plate rack on the wall that has lids on it. My husband made me one specifically for lids that has four shelves (each with a brace for the lids to lean outward against), and also has some hooks on it to hang colanders from. Above the rack, we have an old wagon wheel rim with pots hanging from hooks. Both items are painted a cheery red, and I always put pans and lids back in the exact same place so I can grab the right ones instantly (yes, Laura, that's anal, I know!) And, no more digging in cabinets or through stacks of lids. I don't have many cabinets, so this frees up that space for bowls and other items.
