Spin Cycle

Have you got a collection of cleaning products and detergents that you've been hanging on to because....someday you might need them?

Recently, I was asked to help re-organize a laundry room where I'm quite certain the products were older than myself. I'm not certain I would want to use them to clean anything at this point.

In fact, they could do more harm than good and end up costing more in the long run - than it would to just "clean" them out of the cabinet.

I find that using turntables on the lower shelves make it easy to give your supplies a spin to access what you need. This way they do not get shoved to the back of the cabinets, never to be seen again.

One of my favorite turntables to use is stainless steel and is 10 1/2" in diameter. Most kitchen and laundry room cabinets are about 11" deep - so this one make the best use of the space.

Organizing your cabinets from the bottom up will allow you to maximize the entire cabinet. Adjust the next shelf, just above the tallest item on the lower shelf.

Not all products are designed to work well on turn tables - those that are round will work the best, as well as the small items that you don't want to misplace in the cupboards.
